Dr. Amos6 Whitney (Isaiah5, Isaiah4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Isaiah5 and Persis (Randall) Whitney, was born 27 Dec 1768, Harvard, MA,[1] and died 28 Feb 1802, Henniker, NH.

Marriage intentions were published 7 Jun 1793, Harvard, MA, for him and Rhoda Cutter "of Rindge".[2] He married, 9 Jun 1793, Rhoda Cutter, daughter of Nathan Cutter. She was born 20 Aug 1770. She married secondly, Jasper Temple. She was of Rindge, New Hampshire.

They moved to Henniker in 1795, and resided in the southeast part. He was a skillful physician and much respected. He resided Henniker, NH.

Children of Amos6 and Rhoda (Cutter) Whitney:

i. Horace7 Whitney, b. 18 Sep 1793; was soldier in was 1812; d. Concord.
ii. Sophronia Whitney, b. 10 Jan 1795; m. 18 Apr 1813, Hon. Jacob Gibson; b. 24 Oct 1784. He d. Dec 1869, Greenbush, WI.
Ch.: Dr. A. C., b. 1823; resided Greenbush; Randolph, b. 1819; died Manchester; John S., b. 1830; resided MO; Sophalia, m. R. P. Eaton; resided Green Bay, WI; Sophronia, m. Randall Hoyt.
iii. Dolly Whitney, b. 14 Jun 1796; m. Mr. Moore, of Hillsboro.
iv. Calista Whitney, b. 3 Feb 1798; d. 19 May 1828; m. William K. Howe; b. 30 Sep 1791. Was selectman several years in Henniker. He was married three times. 2 ch., Roxana C. (adopted), b. 19 Jun 1820.
v. Cynthia Whitney, b. 19 Jan 1800; d. 7 Apr 1816.
