Francis Whitney, parentage unknown, was born before 1775, and died after 1790.
In 1790 he was living in Orangeburg South County, SC.
He was probably related to Whitney, Francis (b1775-a1790), also residing in Orangeburg South County, SC in 1790. If these two men happened to be father and son, then this was most likely the son in the pair, based upon the ages of people in the two households.
Analyzing the members in the family in 1790, the most likely scenario is that the family consisted of Francis, his wife, and two young sons. If the sons had been born say 1787 and 1789, this would put the parents' marriage at say 1785, and the birth of Francis at say 1765, or earlier.
