My own ancestry goes back to pre-Norman Invasion times and includes De Whitney families from that time in a direct line. It continues to the present from John in New England directly down to Tirzah Whitney who married Noah Palmer. From her large family, she had 2 girls-Submit and Betsy, who married brothers from the Harris line (also first family at Massachusetts Bay Colony). Betsy Harris was my great great great grandmother. Her daughter in turn married John Curteis who had a daughter who married Richard Ethell who had a daughter Emily Tabitha who was married to Walter Jacobson and was my mother.
