Capt. Ami6 Whitney (Tarball5, Solomon4, David3, Joshua2, John1), born July 28, 1793; married Nov 9, 1815; Rachel Osgood, born Swanzey, NH, 22 May 1797; died May 4, 1865, s.p. He served during the war, and at its close was captain in the New York state militia. Has held many offices in the gift of his townsmen; resided Almond, New York.

He received an award of $13 for his service in the New York state militia during the War of 1812. At the time, he was residing in Almond, Allegany Co., NY.[1]
