He "son of Elnathan, New England" married, 30 Apr 1777, NC, Jemima Powell, daughter of Henry Powell. She was born circa 1750, NC. She had married firstly, before 1777, ----- Hall. She got a certificate to Center Monthly Meeting, Guilford County, North Carolina.

He was taxed in 1779 in Randolph Co., NC and in 1786 in Wayne Co., NC.[3]
