James Alexander8 Whitney (James7, Jonathan6, Jonathan5, James4, Joseph3, Jonathan2, John1), son of James7 and Mary (Helms) Whitney, was born 27 Sep 1866, Montgomery Co., IA.
He married, 27 Feb 1889, Eva Taylor. She was born 5 Feb 1869.
He is a native of Montgomery County, IA, and was born on a farm. Remaining with his parents until attaining his majority he soon engaged in business. At present he is a member of the firm of Whitney Bros., general merchants at Cumberland, IA; resided Sciola and Cumberland, IA.
Children of James Alexander8 and Eva (Taylor) Whitney:
