Hon. John K.9 Whitney (Oliver8, Oliver7, Silas6, David5, Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Oliver8 and Rebecca (Leonard) Whitney, was born 4 Jan 1813, Saint Armand, QC, and died 16 Sep 1873, East Franklin, VT.
He married, Saint Armand, QC, Philura Hubbard. She was born 19 Jun 1804, and died 3 Oct 1880.
Mr. Whitney was a native of Saint Armand, QC, where he continued to reside until some time after he was married, when he removed to East Franklin. He was by occupation a farmer. He twice represented the town in the General Assembly in 1859 and 1860, and also at the extra session in the spring of 1861. He was twice elected commissioner for the county and twice county judge in 1869 and 1870. He was justice of the peace for nearly a score of years.
