Eli7 Whitney (James6, Samuel5, Samuel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of James6 and Eunice (Johnson) Whitney, was born 25 Feb 1795, Newtown, CT,[1] and died after 1860.

He married, Dorcas Austin. She was born about 1797, NY, and died after 1860.

He resided Horseheads, NY.

Phoenix says the following:

"Eli Whitney, b. in Newtown, Conn., 25 Feb. 1795; a shoemaker, butcher, and painter; married Dorcas Austin, dau. of Samuel Austin. His last residence was at Horseheads, N. Y., and he died there."
