George Whitney (George W.), son of George and Electa (Mesnard) Whitney, was born circa 1822, NY, and died after 1888, possibly 1902 in Methodist nursing home, Bronx, NY. (See Note below.)
The George Whitney / Ella Wooten marriage "Return" #1166 has his mother's name as, "Elecha Maynard" (Is this a phonetic spelling of Electa Mesnard?).
Children of George and Ella (Edwards)(Wooten) Whitney:
i. Herbert Whitney, b. ca. 1877, NY. ii. William Whitney, b. ca. 1879, NY. iii. Ethel Frances Whitney, b. 1888, New York City, NY. She m. 1910, William Knapp Sterling. He was b. 1885, Wilton, CT.
