George Frederick⁹ Whitney (George Henry⁸, Jesse⁷, Jacob⁶, Abraham⁵, Abraham⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of George Henry⁸ and Susan Glover (Stickney) Whitney, was born 2 Nov 1846, Nashua, NH,^[1] and died 2 Sep 1925, Nashua, NH, aged 78 years 10 months, of myocartitis, cardiac dilatation.^[2] He was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashua, NH.

He married, 15 Nov 1871, or 13 Nov 1871, Nashua, NH, Elthea A. Davis.^[3] She was born 13 Sep 1848, VT, and died after 1915.

George Frederick Whitney was educated in the public schools in Nashua, NH, and after his graduation went into iron works of his father to learn the business or trade of a machinist; is now foreman and superintendent of his works. He has been prominent in city affairs, has served in city councils as alderman a number of times, and has held other important positions in various charitable and other institutions in that city; resided Nashua, NH.
