Whitford6 Whitney (Asa5, Matthias4, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), son of Asa5 and Alithea (-----) Whitney, was born 6 May 1796, Killingly, CT, and died 18 Dec 1874, aged 79 years, Woodstock, CT.[1]
He married firstly, 10 Nov 1817, Patience Slafter, daughter of Silas and Beulah (Adams) Slafter. She was born 3 Nov 1791, Foster, RI, and died 18 Oct 1820.
He married secondly, 16 Nov 1823, Foster, RI, Mehitabel Hopkins, daughter of Peleg and Elizabeth (Place) Hopkins. She was born about 1801, Foster, RI, and died after 1860, and apparently before 1870.
