Family:Whitney, Jacob (1797-1833)

Jacob⁷ Whitney (Richard⁶, Richard⁵, Israel⁴, Ebenezer³, Richard², John¹), son of Richard⁶ and Sarah "Sally" (Holt) Whitney, was born 16 Feb 1797, Andover, VT,^[1] and died 24 Mar 1833, Weston, VT.

He married 11 Jan 1821, Weston, VT, Polly Watts.^[2] She was born 13 Feb 1803, Weston, VT, and died 26 May 1884, Weston, VT. She married secondly, 9 Oct 1836, Weston, VT, Daniel Foster.^[3]

After Jacob's death, Polly married Daniel Foster.

ii.	Elizabeth Mariah Whitney, b. 9 Jan. 1825, Weston, VT; d. 19 Jul 1864, Nashua, NH, aged 39 years; m. 1 Oct 1843, Londonderry, VT, Henry Chapin Stowell,[4] b. 17 Apr 1821, Londonderry, VT, d. 2 Oct 1887, Waltham, Mass., aged 66 years; he m.(2) 26 July 1865, Waltham, MA, Irene Knapp Bates. Children: a. George Henry Stowell, b. 25 July 1845, Londonderry, VT.
iii.	Timothy Watts Whitney, b. 5 Dec 1827, Weston, VT; d. 29 Feb 1904, Waterford, PA.
iv.	Caroline Louisa Whitney, b. 24 Apr 1830, Weston, VT; d. 29 Dec 1869, Weston, VT, m. 6 Jan 1859, Lucius F. Hart.
