Henry Philemon⁷ Whitney (Seth⁶, Samuel Platt⁵, Uriah⁴, Nathan³, John², Henry¹), son of Seth⁶ and and Mary (Batchelder) Whitney,^[1] was born 24 Jul 1845, Montville, OH, and died 18 Feb 1934, Montville, OH, aged 88 years 6 months 23 days, of arteriosclerosis.^[2] He was buried in Montville, OH.

He married firstly, 28 Nov 1875, Rosetta L. Low, "Rosa" in marriage record,^[3] daughter of John E. and Eunice (Walker) Low. She was born about 1853, prob. Ashtabula Co., OH, "Rose L." died 22 Jun 1882, Montville, OH, aged 29 years.^[4]

He married secondly, 22 Oct 1894, Jessie M. Carmichael. She was born about 1862, Andover, OH, and died 22 Oct 1894, Geauga Co., OH.
