Wilson Wheelock9 Whitney (Edward8, Joseph7, Palmer6, Joseph5, Timothy4, John3, John2, John1), son of Edward8 and Catherine Ann (Plouch) Whitney, was born 7 Jul 1870,[1] , and died 23 Apr 1910, Missoula, Montana.[2]

He married 1st, Florence Yount.[3]

He married 2nd, 17 Sep 1902, Red Oak, Iowa, Nellie May Sheets, daughter of William and Mary (Johnson) Sheets.[4] She was b. abt. 1884, Illinois.[5]

Wilson's first wife, Flo, left with two children, possibly one boy and one girl; one may have died. They res. Clarinda, Iowa.[6]

At the time of the 1900 U.S. Census, Wilt res. at Osceola, Clarke Co., Iowa; he was a boarder with Sheldon R. Howe.[7]

In SEP 1902, Wilt was a laborer.[8]

According to his father’s “Report of Heirs at Law” in SEP 1909, Wilt was 39 years of age and res. at Livingston, Park Co., Montana.[9]

At the time of his death, Wilt “had been a resident of Florence [Ravalli Co., Montana] for the last five years and was engaged in the contracting business”.[10] He was a widower.[11]
