He married firstly, 28 Oct 1838, Carmel, NY, Naomi Jane Dykeman, daughter of Jesse and Phebe (Russell) Dykeman. She was born 19 Mar 1820, Patterson, NY, died 27 Mar 1870, Peekskill, NY, aged 50 years of consumption,[1] and is buried in Cortlandt Cemetery, about two miles north of Peekskill.
