Lyman6 Whitney (Samuel5, Samuel4, Richard3, John2, Henry1), son of Samuel5 and (probably) Rebecca (Banks) Whitney, was born probably about 1771, Greenfield, CT, and died after 14 Apr 1821.
He married, 4 Aug 1794, Bridgeport, CT, Mabel Wheeler, daughter of Daniel and Eleanor (Middlebrook) Wheeler. She was born about 1773, Greenfield, CT, and baptized 6 Sep 1786, Greenfield, CT.
Phoenix says the following:
- Lyman Whitney, b. at Greenfield, Conn.; married, 4 Aug. 1794, by Rev. Philo Shelton, Episcopal, of Bridgeport, Conn., to Mabel Wheeler; settled at Greenfield, and had a share of his father's estate, 14 Ap. 1821.
Children of Lyman6 and Mabel (Wheeler) Whitney, all born and baptized Greenfield, CT:
i. Lyman Banks Whitney, bapt. 28 Jun 1795; m. 31 Aug 1822, Huntington, CT, Hannah Gilbert. ii. Mabel Whitney, bapt. 9 Apr 1797. iii. Eliza Whitney, bapt. 21 Jun 1801. iv. Samuel Whitney, bapt. 28 Aug 1803.
