Sealand7 Whitney (Israel6, Jonas5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Israel6 and Susannah (Gerry) Whitney, was born 2 Nov 1799, Salisbury, VT, and died 30 Apr 1874, Malone, NY.
He married, 2 Sep 1827, Sybil Landon, daughter of Asahel and Sybil (Hollister) Landon. She was born 27 Jun 1806, South Hero, VT, and died 30 Apr 1873, Malone, NY.
He resided North Hero, VT, and Malone, NY.

Seymour Bangs Whitney, b. 5 Jun 1837; m. Calista M. Coburn. iv. Buel Landon Whitney, b. 10 Dec 1845; m. Ester E. Harris. v. Myron Thompson Whitney, b. 18 Feb 1840; res., unmarried, Marshalltown, IN. He was born in North Hero, Vermont, educated at the Public schools, and fitted for college at the Franklin academy in Malone, NY. Entered Middlebury college in 1863, and was graduated in 1865; later entered Amherst; was graduated in 1867. He studied elocution in Boston in 1868. Went west, studied law at Marshalltown, IN, in 1869 and 1870, and was admitted to the bar the latter year. Since then has practiced his profession there with success. Is much respected. Unmarried. vi. Edward Wilber Whitney, b. 1 Oct 1850; m. Lizzie E. Taylor.
