There were several families in Missouri and Arkansas that had children named Wade Whitney who appear to have been related.
- John Whitney, b. ca. 1814, MO, m. Elinder, resided Polk Co., MO & Independence Co., AR. He was a grandson of Family:Whitney, Joseph (s1765-a1830) of Howard Co., MO. He was perhaps the brother of Family:Whitney, William (1827-a1859).
- James Whitney, b. ca. 1822, MO, resided Dallas Co., MO, had a son Wade H. Whitney
- Tobert Whitney, b. ca. 1823 or 1833, MO, resided Barry Co., MO, had a son Wade Whitney. He was perhaps related to Family:Whitney, Joseph (1812-1869) of Barry Co., MO
- Wade H. Whitney, b. ca. 1827, m. Melissa Combs, resided Holt Co., MO, and Richardson Co., NE. He was perhaps related to Family:Whitney, Thomas (1819-?)
- Thomas J. Whitney, b. ca. 1845, MO, resided Holt Co., MO & Richardson Co., NE. Had a son Wade Whitney.
