Justin8 Whitney (Horace7, Joel6, Jonas5, David4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), born at Westminster, 9 Jul 1831; married 2 Nov 1856, Betsey Jane Winchester Taylor; born 27 Sep 1831; died 17 Nov 1863; married 2d, 14 Feb 1878, Emma Jane Nash; born 5 Dec 1847,
The life of Justin Whitney, son of Horace and Mary Whitney, born in Westminster, Massachusetts, 9 Jul 1831, is not of moment. At the age of 2 years moved to Hubbardston, Massachusetts. In 1845 returned to Westminster. In 1849 removed to Gardner, Massachusetts, and engaged in the chair business. In 1852 removed to Leominster, Massachusetts, and engaged in the pianoforte business. In 1857 removed to Boston and engaged in the pianoforte business. In 1868 engaged in the apothecary business in Boston, and still continues therein. Has held and does hold the commissions of a justice of the peace and notary public for the commonwealth of Massachusetts; resided 75 Kendall St., Boston, Massachusetts.
Children of Justin8 Whitney:
i. William Augustus9 Whitney, born 12 Dec 1862; married Shiblie Robertson, of Concord, New Hampshire. They resided in Sunapee, New Hampshire. ii. Grace Emma Whitney, born 13 Mar 1880. iii. Gladys Justina Whitney, born 27 Dec 1889.
