Joel6 Whitney (Jonathan5, Jonathan4, Jonathan3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Jonathan5 and Esther (Parkhurst) Whitney, was born 13 Nov 1766, Conway, MA,[1] and died 31 Jan 1825, Seneca Castle, NY.

He "of Township No. 10 of Ontario Co., N.Y." married 4 Dec 1790 or 6 Jan 1791, Conway, MA, Sybil Wetmore/Whitmore "of Conway",[2] daughter of Oliver and Abigail (Hayden) Wetmore. She was born 21 Jun 1768, Torringford, CT, and died 11 May 1851, Seneca Castle, NY.

He was a well-to-do and respectable farmer and highly esteemed for his sterling integrity. He resided Conway, MA, and Seneca Castle, NY.
