David Whitney, parentage unknown, was born 1794, VT, and died 1867, Northfield, VT.
He was perhaps the David7 Whitney (Jonathan6, Nathan5, Thomas4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Jonathan6 and Lucy (Woodard) Whitney, who was born 12 Dec 1794, Hartford, VT.
He married, 21 Feb 1819, Pittsfield, VT, Martha Mathews Safford, daughter of Joseph, Jr., and Delia (Turner) Safford. She was born 26 Dec 1792, Pittsfield, MA, and died apparently between 1850 and 1860.
