Richard6 Whitney (Richard5, Israel4, Ebenezer3, Richard2, John1), son of Richard5 and Sarah (Butterfield) Whitney, was born 25 Jun 1770, Wilton, NH, and died 30 Mar 1845, Weston, VT.
He married 3 Jun 1794, Wilton, NH, Sarah "Sally" Holt,[1] daughter of Amos and Jemima (Ingalls) Holt. She was born 13 Jan 1771, Wilton, NH, and died 21 Aug 1849, Weston, VT.
Richard Whitney moved to Andover, VT about 1796. The west side of Andover, VT became the town of Weston in 1800.
