Isaac8 Whitney (Newhall7, Benjamin6, Solomon5, Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Newhall7 and Elizabeth (Whitehead) Whitney, was born either 1836 or 15 Dec 1839, Durham, QC, and died August 18, 1911 in Chelsea, MA of chronic nephritis[1]. He is buried in Forestdale Cemetery, Malden, MA. He was a Civil War Veteran.

He married, 2 Sep 1876, Lawrence, MA, Helen T. Chapman, both of Boston, daughter of Samarian and Mary (-----) Chapman.[2] She was born 24 Feb 1854, NB, and died after 1906.

He resided 4 Hereford, Pl., Lowell, MA.

Children of Isaac8 and Helen T. (Chapman) Whitney:

i. Ivey Lillian9 Whitney, b. 20 Nov 1878, VT; d. aft. 1900, then unmarried.
ii. Emma A. Whitney, b. 30 Aug 1881, Lowell, MA;[3] "Emma R." d. 29 Jul 1882, Lowell, MA, aged 19 months 2 days, of cholera infantum.[4]
iii. Emma M. Whitney, b. 1886; d. 1887.

No record of the death of Helen is found in Massachusetts, nor of the births of their daughters.
