Sumner P.8 Whitney (Lewis Jones7, Jabez6, Jacob5, Jonas4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Lewis Jones7 and Ruth (Howard) Whitney, was born 1827, Athol, MA, and died 1878. He was buried in Central Cemetery, Orange, MA.[1]

He married, 17 Jul 1853, Athol, MA, Elisa Jane Peabody,[2] daughter of William and Mary (Stevens) Peabody. She was born 16 Nov 1835, Gardner, MA, and died 1918. She was buried in Central Cemetery, Orange, MA.[3]
