Oscar Marion9 Whitney (Chester Coborn8, Zerah7, James6, Samuel5, Samuel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Chester Coborn8 and Amanda M. (DePuy) Whitney, was born 29 Jun 1848, Ada, MI, and died after 1880.

He married, 5 Jul 1875, Jackson Co., MN, Eliza Montague.[1] She was born about 1853, WI, and died after 1880.

He resided Jackson and Spicer, MN, then Kansas City, KS.

He enlisted 31 Oct 1864, Fond du Lac, WI, as a private in the First Battery of Wisconsin Light Artillery, and was discharged 18 Jul 1865, Milwaukee, WI, due to expiration of service. He was pensioned, Cert. #764,321.
