John Rowell⁸ Whitney (Isaac John⁷, Isaac⁶, Samuel⁵, Samuel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Isaac John⁷ and Martha Ann (Rowell) Whitney, was born 12 Dec 1858, Clarkson, NY, and died after 1892.

He married, 17 Jan 1883, Josephine Gibson. She was born 16 Oct 1859, and died after 1892.

He resided Niagara Falls, NY.

Phoenix says the following:

"John Rowell Whitney, b. in Clarkson, N. Y., 12 Dec. 1858; and was living with his parents, in Brockport, N. Y., in 1874."
