Family:Whitney, Josiah (1765-1842)

Josiah⁶ Whitney (Josiah⁵, David⁴, Benjamin³, John², John¹), son of Josiah⁵ and Sarah (Lawrence) Whitney, was born 23 Jun 1765, Waltham, MA, and died 24 Dec 1842, Ashby, MA.^[1]

He married (pub. 10 Jan 1790), 18 Feb 1790, Ashby, MA, Mary "Polly" Barrett.^[2] She was born 1768, and died 23 Aug 1841, Ashby, MA.^[3]

After the births of four of their children they were dismissed to the church in Ashby, 24 Nov 1799. There they ever afterward resided, honored and respected. He resided Watertown and Ashby, MA.
