Elijah Whitney, parentage unknown, was born circa 1766, Virginia, and died after 1830.

He married, first, an unknown woman. She died before 1804. He married second, 23 Aug 1804, Garrard County, Kentucky, Ailcy Childress. He married, third, 3 Jul 1819, Christian County, Kentucky, Sally Curtis.
