Joshua2 Whitney (Elijah1), son of Elijah Whitney, was born circa 1782, MA, died sometime after 1850, probably NY.
He married, 1809, Nelson, Madison Co., NY, Polly Clark.
Children of Joshua and Polly (Clark) Whitney (order uncertain):
i. Eliphalet Whitney. ii. Clark Whitney, b. ca. 1810, NY. He married Mary (-----), b. ca. 1811, NY. In 1850 they resided Smithfield, Madison Co., NY. - Ch: Malipa Whitney, b. ca. 1835, NY; Ebenezer Whitney, b. ca. 1838, NY; James Whitney, b. ca. 1840, NY.
iii. Elbridge Whitney, b. ca. 1824, NY. Resided with his father in 1850. iv. Hiram Whitney, b. ca. 1821, NY. v. James Whitney. vi. Amy Whitney. vii. Alsina Whitney, b. ca. 1835, NY. Resided with her father in 1850. viii. Ebenezer Whitney.
