Sgt. Jacob5 Whitney (Jonas4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Jonas4 and Sarah (Perry) Whitney, was born 24 Jul 1737, Roxbury, MA,[1] and died 14 Jan 1803, Roxbury, MA, aged 66 years.[2]
He married, 15 Nov 1759, Roxbury, Massachusetts, Rachel Whiting.[3] She was born circa 1737 (calculated from age at death), and died 12 Aug 1812, Milton, MA, aged 75 years.[4]
During the Revolutionary War he was sergt. in that company commanded by Capt. Corey from Roxbury. Res. West Roxbury, Mass.[5]

Jabez Whitney, b. 30 Nov 1767; d. 20 Apr 1849, Phillipston or Orange, MA; bapt. 20 Dec 1767, Roxbury, MA; m.(1) before 21 May 1790, Elizabeth -----; m.(2) before 17 Mar 1810, Sally -----. v. Hannah Whitney, b. 8 Apr 1772; bapt. 31 May 1772, Roxbury, MA;[8] d. 14 Jul 1789, Roxbury, MA. vi.
