He married, firstly, (int. 16 Sep 1836, Lisbon, ME) Mary S. Kimball, both "of Lisbon". "Mary, 1st wife of John" d. 14 Apr 1843, Lisbon, ME.

He married secondly 9 Apr 1844, Lisbon, ME, Almira Turner, both "of Lisbon".
