Jonathan Hart Jerome7 Whitney (Erastus6, Samuel5, John4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of Erastus6 and Hannah (Jerome) Whitney, was born 28 Jun 1811, Henderson, NY, and died after Aug 1874.
He married, 17 Jun 1841, Adams, NY, Martha Ann Bulfinch, daughter of Jonathan Spicer and Clarissa (Stearns) Bulfinch. She was born 16 Mar 1818, Henderson, NY, and died after Aug 1874.
Phoenix says the following:
- ". . . a farmer . . . . They lived in Henderson till 1865, and then moved to Delta, Mich., where they were living in Aug. 1874."
Children of Jonathan Hart Jerome7 and Martha Ann (Bulfinch) Whitney, all born Henderson, NY:
i. Lucinda Annette Whitney, b. 28 Mar 1842; d. 19 Mar 1863, Henderson, NY, where he was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, at Roberts Corners. ii. Erastus Whitney, b. 18 Jun 1844; enlisted, 3 May 1861, in Company G, 35th Regiment, New York State Volunteer Infantry; died of typhoid fever, at Washington, DC, 4 Sep 1861, and was buried there. iii. Charles Eveland Whitney, b. 21 Oct 1848; and was living at Grand Ledge, MI, in 1874. iv. Louise Whitney, b. 11 July 1853; and was living at Grand Ledge, MI, in 1874. v. Clara Huldah Whitney, b. 22 Sept 1858; and was living at Grand Ledge, MI, in 1874.
