Jacob7 Whitney (Richard6, Richard5, Israel4, Ebenezer3, Richard2, John1), son of Richard6 and Sarah "Sally" (Holt) Whitney, was born 16 Feb 1797, Andover, VT, and died 24 Mar 1833, Weston, VT.

He married 11 Jan 1821, Weston, VT, Polly Watts, daughter of . She was born 13 Feb 1803, Weston, VT, and died 26 May 1884, Weston, VT.

After Jacob's death, Polly married Daniel Foster.

i. Hugh Henry8 Whitney, b. ca. 1823, Weston, VT; d. 8 Mar 1890, Tombstone, AZ. He went by H. H. or Hugh but some later sources have Henry Hugh or Henry H. He m.(1) before 1847, Lovina Moore; m.(2) before 1860, Elizabeth -----.
ii. (daughter) Whitney, b. say 1825; deduced from 1830 census.
ii. Timothy Watts Whitney, b. 5 Dec 1827, Weston, VT; d. 29 Feb 1904, Waterford, PA.
iii. Caroline L. Whitney, b. 24 Apr 1830, Weston, VT; d. 29 Dec 1869, Weston, VT.
