Family:Whitney, Ebenezer (1802-1869)

Ebenezer Whitney (Moses, Ebenezer, [perhaps] Samuel⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Moses and Esther (Sherwood) Whitney, was born about 1802, Miramichi, NB, and died between 1860 and 1870.

He married, before 1830, Mary Curtis. She was born 31 Jan 1808, Liverpool, England, and died 1 Oct 1891, Waupaca, WI.

i.	Elisabeth Miney Whitney, b. 16 Feb 1830, Whitney, NB; d. after 1860. She attended school in Whitney from 1835-39.
ii.	Lydia Smith Whitney, b. 20 Sep 1831, Whitney, NB; d. after 1850.
iii.	Stephen Sherwood Whitney, 9 Apr 1833, Whitney, NB; d. 1 July 1898, Waupaca, WI; m. Minerva W. Gleason.
iv.	Isabella F. Whitney, b. ca. 1837, Whitney, NB; d. 23 Oct 1858.
v.	John Whitney, b. ca. 1840, Whitney, NB; d. after 1870, Waupaca, WI; carpenter.
vi.	Sarah Esther Whitney, b. 20 Feb 1843, Hodgdon, ME; d. after 1870; m. Alonzo Botsford.
vii.	Oliver William Whitney, b. 8 Mar 1845, Hodgdon, ME; d. 21 Apr 1913, Santa Cruz, CA; m. Mary E. Robinson.
viii.	Jonathan Edwards Whitney, b. ca. 1847, Hodgdon, ME; d. Oct 1883, Royalton, WI; m. Hanna Kelly. He appears in some records as "John".
