Charles H.8 Whitney (Orange7, Jazaniah6, James5, [prob.] James4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of Orange7 and Emeline (Harris) Whitney, was born 8 Mar 1843, Newport, NH, and died 22 May 1888, Fitchburg, MA.
He married Helen A. Wiswell, daughter of Isaac and Mary (Gibson) Wiswell. She was born 18 Aug 1849, Fitchburg, MA.
Charles H. was born to what would be a large family. He worked for his father Orange at the Phenix hotel. He later moved to Fitchburg, MA, and where shown on a Census list he worked as a laborer. He was buried in a cemetery in Newport, New Hampshire. The head stone states that the plot belonged to his brother Albert O. Whitney. It seems that he passed at the early age of 45.
