John7 Whitney (Mellen6, Elias5, Elias4, Jonathan3, Benjamin2, John1), was born about 1806, Vermont, probably in Barre or Barton where his parents were said to have resided, and died 20 Mar 1890, Peasleeville, NY.
He married, about 1834, Mary Banker, daughter of John and Christiana (Kent) Banker. She was born 28 Feb 1816, Goshen, NY, and died 4 Mar 1887, Peasleeville, NY.
John Whitney was a blacksmith.
