Sergt. Solomon Blair7 Whitney (Peter6, Timothy5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Peter6 and Mary (Blair) Whitney; born Chester, Massachusetts, 1785; married at Detroit, Michigan, 1806, Mary Ware. She died Cannon, Michigan, 6 Mar 1865
He was born in Chester, Massachusetts, and was a cordwainer by trade. Emigrating west he married at Detroit, Michigan. Before his marriage he enlisted in Boston in the army and was stationed at Detroit, Michigan, from 1805 to 1812. Whitney, born Detroit, Michigan, 1811; died Saginaw, Michigan, Jan. 7, 1850. iv. Charles Whitney, born Sackett's Harbor, New York, 1820; died Geneva, Illinois 1839. v. William E. Whitney, born 9 Nov 1821; married Hannah L. Pratt.
