Charles Lucius8 Whitney (Levi7, Jacob6, Abraham5, Abraham4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Levi7 and Rebecca (Warren) Whitney, was born 26 Jan 1824, Bolton, MA, was baptized 23 May 1824, Bolton, MA,[1], and died after 1860.

He married, 12 Mar 1849, Thompson, CT, Lusannah C. Wheeler,[2] daughter of Jonas and Ruth (Brown) Wheeler. She was born about 1 Jul 1828, Bridgewater, MA, and died 2 Jul 1909, Ayer, MA, aged 81 years 1 day, of heart disease.[3] She married secondly, 23 Oct 1871, Ayer, MA, Samuel Reed, son of Rufus and Eliza (Smith) Reed.[4] He was born 4 Nov 1834, Groton, MA, and died after 1909.

In the censuses, she is called "Susannah C.", "Louisa C.", and "Susannah O." and "Lusanna C." In her second marriage record, she is called "Lucella C.". In her marriage record, it is "Susannah C." In her death record, it is "Lusanna C." In her son Herbert's and daughter Eudora's marriage records, it is "Susanna".

On 23 Aug 1866, he, a farmer, aged 42, lived in Little Lake Township, Mendocino Co., CA, where he was enrolled as a voter.
