Alvin Fisher6 Whitney (George5, Jason4, Mark3, Benjamin2, John1), son of George5 and Esther (Morse) Whitney, was born 1824, Natick, MA, and died 29 Mar 1857, Natick, MA, aged 33 years 1 month 14 days, of consumption.[1]

He married, between 1850 and 1854, Elvira Clemence. She was born about 1833, ME, and died after 1857. Apparently she married secondly, between 1857 and 1860, Jacob T. Lewis, of Steuben, ME.

He was a shoemaker (cutter in death record) by trade, was a noted musician, and for many years followed farming. He resided Natick, MA.

i. Edwin7 Whitney, b. ca. Nov 1854, MA; d. after 1860; not found in 1870 or 1880 censuses. Birth not found in "Massachusetts Vital Records, 1841-1910."
