Samuel Whitney (Lyman6, Samuel5, Samuel4, Richard3, John2, Henry1), son of Lyman6 and Mabel (Wheeler) Whitney, was born circa 1803, Greenfield, CT, bapt. 28 Aug 1803, Greenfield, CT, and died after 1870.

He married circa 1830, probably OH, Susan Shelton, daughter Selah and Phebe (French) Shelton. She was born Sep 1812, CT, and died 22 Jan 1865, Berkshire, OH.
