Lewis⁷ Whitney (Simon⁶, Timothy⁵, Jonas⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Simon⁶ and Lucy (Hammond) Whitney, was born 12 Jun 1803, Petersham, MA,^[1] and died 14 Feb 1873.

He married 17 Oct 1848, Essex, VT, Permelia Vogal Day, "of Essex, Vt."^[2] She was born about 1821, VT, and died Rockford, IL.

They resided Petersham, MA.
