[?W.?] Whitney ([probably] Wade H., Joseph), probably son of Wade H. and Susan (Norton) Whitney, was born circa 1827, MO, and died before 1860, possibly in Mar 1860 (see Notes below), Sevier Co., AR.
- The previous, and the latter is entirely speculation. However there is proof of a Coleman Whitney born about this time.
His name probably was Wade Whitney even though the name Wade was common in the family. There is already a William identified in the family.
He married, say after 1851, Nancy (Morris) Sickles. She was born circa 1828, AR, and died after 1864. She had married firstly, 25 Jan 1848, Sevier Co., AR, William Sickles.
Children of William and Nancy (Morris) Sickles:
i. Margaret Sickles, b. ca. 1847, AR. ii. Kittie Sickles, b. ca. 1851, AR.
Children of [?W.?] and Nancy (Morris)(Sickles) Whitney:
i. John Whitney, b. ca. 1854, AR. He was probably Family:Whitney, John H. (c1855-a1880). ii. Wade Whitney, b. ca. 1859, AR.
Notes
There is confusion about whether it was he or William Whitney to whom the Mortality Schedule entry pertains.
