Wade Hamp Whitney (John, [probably] Wade H., Joseph), son of John, and Elinder (-----) Whitney, was born Missouri, and died after 1920, probably in Red River Co., TX.

He married, 26 Dec 1880, Nannie Fletcher.

They lived Red River Co., TX.

Children of Wade Hamp and Nannie (Fletcher) Whitney:

i. Juanita Whitney, b. 24 Nov 1881; d. 22 July 1922; m. Alfred W. Westbrook.
ii. Jessie Whitney, b. 1890.
iii. Mattie Whitney, b. 23 June 1889; d. 14 Jan 1985; m. Loran Nichols, 21 Sep, 1937.
iv. Myrtle Whitney, b. 1895.
v. Maggie Whitney, b. 1900, m. Java S. Westbrook.

Notes

Spent time in the Texas state penitentiary at Huntsville from 14 June 1895 to 26 Feb 1898. Sentenced for altering the mark on ten head of hogs with intent to defraud.
