Richard6 Whitney (Simon5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Simon5 and Mary (Ruggles) Whitney;[1] born 2 Jan 1782, Watertown, Massachusetts;[2] married in Amherst, Massachusetts, 23 Apr 1816, Mary Elizabeth Parker, born 20 May 1797; died 13 May 1879.
He was a carriage trimmer and harnessmaker by trade. He died 25 Nov 1863; resided Amherst, Massachusetts.
Children of Richard6and Mary Elizabeth (Parker) Whitney:
i. Simon W.7 Whitney, born 21 Nov 1817; married Emeline L. Belding, Sarah Ingram and Samantha Atherton. ii. Richard S. Whitney, born 13 Feb 1819; married Amelia Arrington. iii. Samuel F.
