Phinehas Sullivan⁷ Whitney (Phinehas⁶, William⁵, William⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Phinehas⁶ and Lydia (Bowes) Whitney,^[1] was born 6 Jul 1785, MA^[2] and died 3 May 1855^[3] leaving 3 children.^[4]

He married, 28 Sep 1806, Boston, Suffolk Co., MA, Lucy Davis.^[5] Pierce calls her Lucy Cobb.^[6] She died sometime shortly before 3 Mar 1821, Boston, Suffolk Co., MA.^[7]

He married Julia Robinson.^[8]

He married, before 1850,^[9] Eliza Collard.^[10] She was born circa 1805, VA.^[11]

He was a coal dealer and resided in Philadelphia in 1850.^[12]
