My name is Brad Washburn. I am a descendant of John & Elinor Whitney thru Isaiah Whitney and Dorcus Whitman. Until I discovered this site in April 2006, they were my oldest known Whitney relatives.

I am a student in Utah studying Information Systems with a Graphic Arts emphasis, but I have always had a strong interest in genealogy. Extensive work has been done on my father's side but work on my mother's side is virtually non-existent, except for a few lines which have been traced back to the royals in England.

Though I have a lot of information on both sides, I have almost no sources but family records for most of my genealogy. That is my main area of interest because I have adopted the idea that Genealogy Without Sources is just Mythology.
