I became interested in our family history because there was very little talk in the family about our ancestors. I don't have any answer for this it just wasn't talked about very much. I guess the fact that my grand father Ernest H. Whitney passed on very early in my life so I never got to hear the stories.

About a year ago I found this group and was thrilled that there was so much information but was puzzled about how to proceed. I had very little info about my line and there didn't seem to be a connection anywhere that I could find. Just a couple of weeks ago I ran across an old chrisining photograph of my grandfather where on the back had the date of his birth and death.
