Milton6 Whitney (Asa5, Joshua4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of Asa5 and Hepsibath (Watrous) Whitney, was born 7 Apr 1786, Pittsfield, MA, and died 4 Sep 1839, Pittsfield, OH.
He married 8 Jan 1809, Pittsfield, MA, Lydia Cleveland. She was born 18 Sep 1786, and died 23 Aug 1869, Pittsfield, OH.
Milton Whitney was born in Pittsfield, MA, where his children were all born. In 1830 he moved to Ohio, became a large land owner and prominent business man. He resided Pittsfield, MA, and Pittsfield, OH.

Welthy Ann Whitney, b. 12 May 1815; d. 8 Apr 1851; m. 6 Jul 1835, Lorenzo Wadsworth. He was b. 27 Aug 1813, Becket, MA; d. 26 Sep 1869. Was a prominent citizen. - Ch.: Frank, b. 14 Oct 1838; m. Ella Leonard; resided Wellington, OH; Frances Mary, b. 3 Sep 1843; m. William Babcock; resided Marshall, TX.
iv. Oliver W. Whitney, b. 23 Feb 1817; m. Esther Rising. v. Silas D. Whitney, b. 3 Mar 1820; m. Electa N. Parsons. vi. Charles Henry Whitney, b. 6 Apr 1824; m. Elvira Sheldon. vii. Frederick Centre Whitney, b. 15 Jun 1828; unmarried; resided Pittsfield, OH. viii. Chauncy Whitney, b. 29 Apr 1811; d. 21 Mar 1812.
