Eben Jennings7 Whitney (Thomas6, Peter5, Josiah4, Josiah3, [prob.] Benjamin2, John1), son of Thomas6 and Mary Taina (Jennings) Whitney, was born 6 Dec 1806, Barnstead, VT.
He married, 25 Nov 1830, Norwich, VT, Sarah Boardman, dauughter of Dr. Nathaniel and Philomela (-----) Boardman. She was born 15 Jul 1806, and died 4 Dec 1876.
He was a farmer and mechanic; resided at West Hartford, VT, until 1837, when they removed to Brown, Knox County, OH, and later to Danube; resided Danube, OH.
Children of Eben Jennings7 and Sarah (Boardman) Whitney:
i. Dudley Chase8 Whitney, b. 16 Aug 1846; resided Danube, OH. ii. Edward Eli Whitney, b. 5 Nov 1832; m. Lettia Jane Parrish. iii. Charlotte Virginia Whitney, b. 4 Aug 1835; dead. iv. Victoria Philomela Whitney, b. 29 Nov 1839; m. 9 Feb 1860, in Mount Vernon, OH, John Robinson; b. 24 Dec 1836. He was a farmer; resided Danville, OH, d. 11 Aug 1870. v. Girdon B. Whitney, b. 29 Nov 1839; m. Ann Ilgenfreiz. vi. Lucia Emily Whitney, b. 8 Jun 1842. vii. Martha Lucilla Whitney, b. 21 Nov 1848. viii. Florence Helera Whitney, b. 19 Apr 1851.
