Joel7 Whitney (Joel6, Jonas5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Joel6 and Lydia (Willard) Whitney, was born 29 Feb 1792, Fitzwilliam, NH, and died in OH.

He served in the war of 1812, was captured by the British and taken to England; he finally returned and settled in Ohio, where he married and afterwards resided. He was a farmer, and resided OH.
